Time robs us blindA Poem by Kat-Marie BertiYou wanted me right by your side To love and cherish throughout the days But now it seems as if you died I am no longer one of your rays It’s funny how time robs us blind One minute you never wanted to leave me The next “It’s over”, you’ve made up your mind It was never with me that you wanted to be I’m not going to cry or act as if I care All that will only make things worse Love, in this world, is really so rare So I’m going to focus on becoming a nurse And if, one day, far off in the future You see me standing in the street Don’t come close, remember your hasty departure But chances are not likely that we will meet
