My fragile heart

My fragile heart

A Poem by Kat-Marie Berti

If you break my fragile heart with your smile

Aimed at some other girl with a sexier style

Rip my soul to shreds with your sinful gaze

Wanting everyone but me, what’s this craze?

I’m not saying I’ll hate you, that’s impossible

Just that I’ll never love again, is that possible?

Very good poem! To think you have said more in few words than most do in a long 5 page poem. Love and life is a crap shoot and one never knows what the other may do. I loved this.

Nothing wasted here. You made your point, delivered a thought and painted us a picture. Very nice.

nicely done, kat-marie. i like this a lot, short and to the point but oh so poignant at the end. something we always question at the breaking of a relationship.
