I crave

I crave

A Poem by Kat-Marie Berti

Laying next to me so warm

We are ready to turn on the storm

My cravings are unusually high

But please don’t ask me why

I want to feel your body pressing

To use your tongue to keep me guessing

Run your hands along my satin skin

And baby I’ll let you know when you win

To me the combination of the lines: "But please don't ask me why" and "And baby I'll let you know when you win" imply that there may be a dark and ugly back-story to the poem. The woman may be using lust as an excuse for surrendering to the man. The woman's cravings may be unusually high, because she is seeking to escape whatever it is that is really haunting her. (Or, so it seems to me, but I'm probably totally wrong.)

this is cute and sexy and sweet - the only line that i don't get is "but please don't ask me why". it seems like filler. the rest of it thought is great. i love the last line and the one about using your tongue to keep me guessing.
