I wait all day

I wait all day, impatiently, to know what you truly feel

I pace inside my mind, quickly, and wonder if it’s real

My nightly prayers are intense with me asking for the truth

And most of the time I know I am acting like a youth

 

I want to read the canvas of your heart and add on to it

All the while I am simply afraid that my own heart might split

Is it all a figment of my overzealous imagination?

Or am I honestly in love with utter fascination?

In love with utter fascination I really like as well. It seems to be the way my whole life was gone. I always just wanted someone to long for, someone to fantasize about. Sometimes it's not about the who...it's about the feelings that love and lust can bring. And isn't it silly how we can be all grown up about some things....and so infantile in others. Love the part about acting like a youth. I often feel that way, and my man notices from time to time as well!! Good write!!!
