I wait all dayA Poem by Kat-Marie BertiI wait all day, impatiently, to know what you truly feel I pace inside my mind, quickly, and wonder if it’s real My nightly prayers are intense with me asking for the truth And most of the time I know I am acting like a youth I want to read the canvas of your heart and add on to it All the while I am simply afraid that my own heart might split Is it all a figment of my overzealous imagination? Or am I honestly in love with utter fascination?
