Tumbleweed TearsA Poem by Clayton BardwellAn old poem I thought to add to this new beginning.I hear your
sweet voice when I walk amongst the Pinion’s. I turn to look
and you’re not there. How cruel are these
pines that bind me? Is it the wind
or the wanting that turns my weary head?
Oh, this
dreaded desert that once was my heart, now a wasteland without you to nourish
it. Can it beat without
a reason? Dare the sun
shine without you here to bask in its’ brilliance? Will the stars
have a reason to appear without your smile to comfort them?
I smell your
hair with every breath I take, Or is it the
sage that grows behind our cabin, Those 4 walls
that once held our love, and Now confines
me to this dreary place?
I tie these
words to the tumbleweed, and Cast it adrift
on shifting sands Carried by the
wind in search of your heart. © 2013 Clayton BardwellReviews

Because publishers seem to be averse to previously published works I won't be posting it here. I write poetry, such that it is, because of you. T.. more..Writing
