ME:

This poem is about me being told no and turning the doubts into something new. I hope this poem inspires people like me who expirenced what I did And when somebody says no you say yes!

I close my eyes and shed my tears

I listen as a child does to the teacher.

I know what they are going to say already.

They told her she would never have my wings or learn how to fly

They ripped her heart out and told her no

Finnaly the girl said "Yes I Can and I will"

She held her head high and said I will learn how to fly and soar high

With your judgements and doubts and make something of myself"

She leaves her nest for the first time and flys she soars out of the sea of despair and doubts

and soars to the valley of dreams

10 years later she proved them wrong she proved that she could fly and survive.

When the world said 'NO' SHE SAID 'YES'

Guess what?

That girl was me!
