Dear Apathy

Dear Apathy

A Poem by V.J.C.

Dear Apathy
Fear but a figment of imagination
Happiness only a longing thought
Here in my mind dreams are of reality
Peace and war are but the same screaming child
Love can be seen slain in my shattered heart

 Dear Apathy
Long ago i went into your arms
An embrace that freed me from the pain
A solitary life sheared of desire
Eyes that have seen so much close as the emotions flee
Kindness you have given me
If i return the favor you will take it the wrong way
So here i sit in this darkened room thinking of you
Given so much and taken more away
Lips turning up as i feel
Nothing

So many things going on in this poem. Vivid and bold emotions are shown within this. Also tells a great story that goes along with this. Good work :3
