Scream

The bells ring,

a calm rises all around.

As I scream,

silently and unheard.

Aching,

shaking and trembling in fear.

while they come,

 the bell ringing echos in my ears.

Foot steps almost missed,

only four.

Yet,

never could I win.

Smiling,

never speaking.

Working quietly,

nightmares being born.

fingers probe,

flesh gives.

Blood pours,

I scream

Silently,

screaming.

For nothing else will do,

for limbs become heavy.

They smile,

knowing the truth...

They know,

All I can do is.

Scream,

behind mouth sewn of lies...
