Laying In My Empty Bed

Laying In My Empty Bed

A Poem by 5minutesofcrazy

Look into my eyes

Be with me, here and now

Hold me closer, tighter

Show me you love me

I lit my cigarette

Laying in my empty bed

The sheet not warming me

A reminder of being alone

Whisper to me

Gently in my ear

Tell me secrets untold

Profess your affection

I look to my phone

Begging for an escape

The walls are suffocating me

Taunting my present state

Run your hands over me

Treat me as I were brail

Giving my self attention

Demonstrate how you feel

I sit in the bed

Staring at the other half

Not even seeing an imprint

Showing it’s forgotten you

Kiss ever part of me

Desire to taste my flesh

Allow your lips to become lost

Be consumed with your passion

I yell into the air

Demanding to be heard

The still remains

Confirming you’re gone.
