Yet a Thousand Angels WeepA Poem by 5minutesofcrazyA poem about personal pain.I write for you, never for myself To vanquish the terrors that so easily grip at you Desiring to free you from your tethers Yet a thousand angels weep We copulate passionately Reconfiguring molecules to create one finite being To live and move and breath collectively singularly Yet ten thousand angels mourn You die for me, selflessly Urging me to be the voice the people need Haunting me in every key pressed Yet one hundred thousand angels wail WAIL with the passion of the ones shriveled in pain MOURN with the vigor of those who have been driven back to the alleys WEEP with the intensity of any forced to relive their sins Yet no longer watch from afar I fall to my knees in darkened alleys Seeking only to find relief from the memories Attempting to remember the details of your face Yet an angel watches We climax simultaneously Destroying the remnants of my pride The breath and movement and life beaten from me Yet ten angels observe I stand here awaiting death, selfishly Longing to greet the river-master Absolving the world for not hearing Yet no angel sess © 2012 5minutesofcrazy |
