A love story in it's partA Poem by 5minutesofcrazy
Hear my truth
She gently whispers I only need you to accept No judgement allowed Can you be my listener? Hear the facts Her breathing shallow I wish I knew your response Negativity not permitted Will you be my support? I lit my smoke Exhaling lightly turning to you I nod my silent agreement Hoping to be what you need. Hear my case She states flatly I have not been who you know No looks tolerated Will you now acknowledge? Hear the reality Her gaze lifeless I made lying to you my game No aggression licensed Can you now comprehend? I grab my shirt Moving decisively to the chair I mutedly process your words Wanting to be what you need. Hear my story She implores violently I destroyed all that was ours No condemnation sanctioned Will you be my keeper? Hear the details Her words impassioned I never sold my feelings for you No resentment consented Can you be my defender? I lit another smoke Staring earnestly at the burning tip I wordlessly recognize your pain Debating to be what you need. Hear my gospel She offers meekly I yearn to be here with you No guilt assigned Can you now forgive? Hear the finality Her touch gentle I want only your welcome No reservation tolerated Will you now cherish? I take your hand Holding tightly your delicate fingers I dumbly give myself to you Being what you need.
