AloneA Poem by Simply MeA wilting spirit lifted
A newly budding flower,
Bent over on his quest to rise above the others, For the first time it is bathed by the Sun's rays, He is no longer Alone Now a taller standing flower, He sits just below the pedals of others, He suddenly is shadowed from the Sun's glory, He begins to feel Alone. A freshly wilting flower, Arcing over towards its end, There is a spontaneous resurgence in his roots, He no longer feels Alone. He stands up now to see his savior, As small globes of Rain trickle down his stem, It lifts his spirits higher than ever now, He no longer feels Alone. A towering flower now, He stands a head above all the others, He wishes they could be up there with him, And feel the soothing brush of the Wind. But the Rain soon disperses, And the Sun appears again with it golden rays, The flower watches this cycle and discovers, He is never truly Alone. © 2013 Simply Me |
