Of fake smiles and broken promises

Of fake smiles and broken promises

A Poem by Faust

I always wear a smile,
Even though I haven't wanted to for a while.
I always say I'm ok,
Even though I'm sad every day.
I have walked along this painful road for far too long,
Just pretending there is nothing wrong.
I have these promises to myself I must keep,
So that maybe I can finally get some sleep.
