The lies we once shared

The lies we once shared

A Poem by Faust
"

Lies from a cheating heart can never be be forgiven. They break the soul and leave you broken on the ground.

"
This lie you have told,
This story you have sold,
About a love that was never there,
Telling about the 2 who were such a 'great' pair.
You told everyone who would listen to you,
About how I have failed us two.
The love we had once shared,
Has left me feeling down, depressed, and scared.
These wounds you have carved into my soul,
Were left there because you only had one goal.
You wanted me to miss you and everything we stood for.
You wanted me to come running back and tell you that I wanted more.
You used to tell me that you loved me.
That to you I was the only woman you would ever see.
How could I have been too stupid to realize,
That all these stories you have told have come from your petty lies.

Great poem! Great rhyme scheme and all. It really captures the pain of unrequited love.
