Matter or Spirit

God Does Not Create, Nor Does He Control Material Affairs.

You may read this statement and automatically reject it completely.

“God can do everything and God loves us. How can anyone think that God is not interested in our lives“?

OK. Let’s examine the statement with an open mind. In the first place we refer to God as “He.” God is not he or she, is not a male or female. God is not matter, nor did He create a material world of matter of any kind. Hard to believe? God is Spirit. God being Spirit is Immortal; Mind; the Breath of Life.

God being Spirit: Spirit is all inclusive. When Spirit created the universe it was created out of the only substance available; Spirit. God created a perfect Spiritual place for us.

This is even harder to believe, but science has proven this to be a fact. You look at a table, a chair or any solid object, and that is what you see, a solid object. Science explains that all matter is made up of atoms (or energy) without hardness, without solidity, without even positive actuality. Atoms are what everything is made of; whirling bits of energy which is never still, yet, when we sit in a chair or eat at the table we are not aware of movement within them. This is because we believe what we see, a material, solid object. Science now explains matter by explaining it away, by proving that atoms are pulsating with spiritual life.

“If this is true, why do we have matter at all and where did it come from“? A very good and hard to answer question. I would say (this is my understanding and you don’t need to agree with me, but please give it some serious thought) God gave us free will. He could have created us puppets that had no choice but to obey His will. God wants us, not so much to worship Him, but to have a close loving Father son/daughter relationship with Him .

As parents we don’t want our children to feign respect and love for us out of duty or fear. We want their love because they know we will love, protect and care for them to the best of our ability. Are we better parents than our heavenly Father?

“Why is there matter“? In modern physics, it is known that matter can be converted into energy. Energy is power, power is God, and God is Spirit. This is Truth.

Matter is nothing more then our vivid imagination.

Like spiteful, foolish teenage children, our ancestors thought that they knew more then the wisdom who created them. With the free will that our Father lovingly gave the first images, they created their own, little, material, world of sin, sickness, suffering and death. Worse, they have passed their error filled beliefs down to us.

We are still ignoring our heritage and gone on our own painful way like the Prodigal son in the Bible. Also like the Prodigal we will tire of our foolish mistaken beliefs and return to the place that God has reserved for each of us.

God does not have to interfere with human affairs. Affairs will change by a change in our understanding of God.
