Jesus Was Happy
I have a whole different concept of Jesus’ ordeal. I don’t buy into the belief that Jesus was ‘a man of sorrows.” I don’t believe that God sent Jesus to earth for the express purpose of “dying on the cross” as a blood sacrifice for the sins of humanity. Why would God need blood to forgive sin? God created the blood flowing through the body of Jesus. God could create an ocean of blood, if, He felt the need for blood. I think there is more to the story.
Yes, Jesus was born human. Yes, His mother was a virgin. Nine months in the womb, He was born, He grew, He became a man. He was no different from the rest of us: expect, He knew who His actual Father is. He knew absolutely no one, then or now, could have life without the Father-Mother-Creator-God that created All. That includes all babies; all animals; all things, and all was and is good.
Mary was raised in a convent. She knew every Jewish law and ritual, which she taught to her son. Before the age of twelve Jesus has already made the distinction between God’s beautiful, beneficial, enduring, spiritual laws and the man made harsh and foolish laws that put great hardships on men.
Over many years, from ignorance, for profit or power, the priests had lost sight of the God they were supposed to serve. Because they were ‘men of God’ Jesus tried to explain to them that none of the things we fear and suffer from come from God. An eye for an eye is not God’s law. God being Good created only Good. Jesus debated with the priests. They listened, were amazed with His knowledge at such a young age, but they wouldn’t accept this radical Truth.
Jewish law called for stoning to death an unmarried pregnant woman. Jesus had plenty of reason to have a pity party. His playmates probably made many jokes about His mother’s sinful past. Also I imagine they were awed by His power and intelligence. Even Mary didn’t understand His rejection of many of the beliefs she held sacred. Jesus’ family didn’t approve of Him either. When Jesus began His ministry He embarrassed them. At one time, the whole family went to pick Him up, because they said, “He is beside himself.”
However, Jesus didn’t come to be a part of the group mentality. He came to teach and influence people. He was aware He would be misunderstood and rejected. It would be nice if his family was on His side. But He knew they were true to what they had been taught and believed, and someday they too would know The Father in the way He did. In the meantime He had God and who needs more?.
Have you known a Christian who thinks that almost everything is a sin? They go through life with a sour face, guilt finding, serious sin searching, always complaining about lack- of money, companionship, and thinking they please God with their suffering?
I think Jesus was the opposite. He laughed, told jokes (there are a lot of funny ones that aren’t dirty) played with the kids, enjoyed life to the fullest. He could go any place without fear of a debilitating accident, a sudden serious illness, being robbed, assaulted or being beat up by a crook. The devil couldn’t harass Him, because, our Father did not create an evil entity by any name. He saw nothing but Good and good makes you happy! People enjoyed His company.
I can believe that His biggest disappointment was that so many of the people He healed failed to realize ”the kingdom of heaven is within you,” and they went back to their old sickly ways of thinking. The churches of today that believe in healing a sick body through faith in God’s love do good work. However, Jesus never saw a sick body in need of healing. He saw that “Our Father holds each individual in His Infinite Mind as a perfect idea” That made the transformation instant and complete. The ‘healing’ was scientific, that means everyone can use the same method with the same results. Jesus is our brother. It was His mission to being His brothers and sisters closer to the Father-Mother who created everything for you. Jesus would be very happy to see you and yours all healthy and happy.
It is your God given right.
