Jesus Is Scientific

I feel that I should warn you that if you attend church occasionally that you may not like what I have to say. Your church probably tells you that Jesus was sent to earth, by God, to shed His blood on the cross as a human sacrifice for the sins of mankind. Also that the man God created with dirt and the woman God created from the man’s rib had sinned. Because of their sin the children that they produced were born sinners, all down the line of descendants, until Jesus arrived. That Jesus was divine and we can’t expect to do miracles of healing, feeding thousands of hungry people with a few loves of bread and a couple of fish, Those were supernatural feats for a time and place a long time ago. Or maybe the extraordinary stories were exaggerated? I don’t buy any of this.

I’ll start by declaring that Jesus was born as we all are. The fact that His mother was a virgin doesn’t change anything. Do you believe that the nine uncomfortable months that your mother carried you that she had any part in developing your body? She and your dad may be proud of the way that they raised you...but they did not create you. Joseph accepted an angel’s explanation that all babies are God’s creation. Mary was still a virgin blessed with God’s son.” An angel’s word is good enough for me to believe that Jesus was as human as we are.

When I believe Jesus is just like us why do I say He is scientific? Well science is: “Knowledge made up of an orderly system of facts collected by means of observation, study and experimentation.” Scientific is: ”Using the principles and methods of science; systematic and exact.” Data collected in a systematic way and tested many times until the data reacts exactly the same every time and results don’t vary. Then it moves from theory, which is one man’s opinion (like Darwin’s theory of evolution) to fact which can be proven by everyone.

I believe there are natural laws that we know, understand and accept. Some that we don’t exactly understand but we accept because we see it every day. The sun comes up in the morning and sets every night. There are also man made laws for our benefit. Stop at a stop sign. Stop at a red light or take the consequences.

I believe God is Spirit. When He created the Universe; He created every thing spiritually and good. At that time He put into motion spiritual laws for our benefit. Laws that never change. A part of that law is for His children to have abundant prosperity; eternal youth; wisdom, strength, harmony; a happy life; and everlasting health. You can probably accept most of these claims-except health. You think, because Adam and Eve sinned and Jesus suffered on the cross, it is inevitable that you will have an incurable illness an accident or some other misery and die.

My friend was fond of saying, “You can’t get out of this world alive.” No one argued.

Jesus proved you can! While we spend our time watching TV; reading risque books; going to church and ignoring the parts of the sermon that don’t quite make sense; Jesus spent His time in the company of our Father, learning the Truth that sets men free.

We assume death is a natural part of life. It is what we believe, but it is not God’s Reality. Jesus knew God better than any man. Not because He was divine. Jesus dedicated Himself to helping humanity. He learned through study and understanding that neither He nor God could heal the sick or reform or forgive the sinner. “God is of purer eyes than to behold sin.” God’s Law is health and happiness. God, our Father-Mother-Creator-God did not create sin or sickness and God is not aware of any thing He did not create, therefore in truth and logic, evil does not exist.

Jesus, knowing Satan is a lie and health is a law, had no need to take a patient aside and ask, What are your symptoms”? “How bad is the pain, where is the pain, how long have you suffered”? Then get down on His knees and beg God to heal this sinner, wondering if the prayer would be answered. Never!!!

When a sick person came to Jesus for healing, He didn’t see a sick, suffering body. Jesus saw the healthy, vibrant, person that our Father had created. Jesus erased their error thought and replaced it with God’s Truth and the body responded immediately. No long convalescent period, because health is all that our Father created.

Jesus asked one question, “Do you believe”? When they said, “Yes” He had them prove their trust, “Put out your hand, take up your bed and walk, Go and sin no more.” Many were more thankful for there new spiritual understanding than for the dramatic healing.

An answered prayer must be a true prayer. It must be scientific. A scientific prayer must be according to fixed law. A scientific prayer would not ask our loving Father to heal a disease that He is not aware of because it doesn’t exist. It may sound strange to think an Al-knowing God does not know about sin, sickness or death is a good thing.

Consider this for a moment�"If God had a knowledge of sickness and suffering, it would mean He would have created it and it would be a fact forever. God’s laws are unchangeable and eternal. Sickness would follow us into heaven and eternity. We would never be free. A scientific prayer wouldn’t ask God to heal a sickness that doesn’t exist. You ask to feel the life, vitality and health flowing through your body.. You ask to be rid of error thinking.

You are wondering, if God didn’t create evil and doesn’t know it, is Satan the cause of the evil we suffer? Where could Satan, the devil or the grim reaper come from?

God wants our love freely given and not forced. Therefore He gave us free will. Some men could not conceive of a perfect goodness, there must be an opposite. Through man’s unfounded fear and imagination one evolved. They named it Satan and gave it power over their lives. The child’s boggy-man became the adult Satan, both are nonexistent.

Jesus put all thoughts of any Power or Mind other than God out of His mind and saw only God’s Reality. There was no need to ask God to heal and wait for an answer. It was already accomplished before the asking. It had never been otherwise.

Jesus was scientific and our brother. Our brother told us we have the same right to be scientific and live healthy and happy. God is infinite, therefore ever present and there is no other power nor presence. This is the scientific truth that Jesus lived by.
