The Adam Race

The Adam Race

A Story by Loretta Edwards

The Adam Race

The race of Adam [A-dam between man and God] believes in dual powers. Satan; the devil; the prince of darkness; are every bit as real to the Adam consciousness as God. And why not? Just look at the shape the world is in today. Would a loving God send sin, sickness, and death? Then who? Then why?

This material belief of existence is so deeply ingrained and passed from generation to generation as fact: that to consider a different way of thinking is unthinkable. It doesn’t have to make sense, we don’t have to think about it. That is why we go to church. We think that the interpretation of whoever stands in the pulpit is more accurate and we are willing to take their word and live by it, right or wrong. Our grandparents, our parents, and now we believe what we are taught. We give our tithe and we are satisfied with the teaching the way it has always been. It is easier than taking the responsibility for our salvation. But church attendance does not get us a ticket into heaven.

There are not dual powers. God is the One and only Creator. All creation was created by God and it was all good. Nothing was created to hurt or harm His children in any way, shape or form. Read Genesis chapter one. All was created spiritual, perfect and God was pleased. He is our Father and our Mother. He is the Supreme Ruler, and does not share His power with another.

We have realized that God does not want or need a blood sacrifice. We no longer offer the blood of animals on the altar as payment for our sins. We have come that far. Yet, we still believe that we need to sacrifice. We think being “poor but honest” is a virtue. Excess is God’s trademark in His creation. We do not honor God in our poverty.

Is mankind plagued by a sinister power that rivals omnipotent God? Is it possible for man to find himself in a condition or a situation where God cannot or will not be able to help him? Absolutely not! God is waiting; ready; willing and able to make you happy; when we awake to His ability. That anything or anyone (Satan) could stand against God is idolatry thinking and a slap to the face of God. Sin is self-inflected nonsense. God does not forgive sin because sin does not, in reality, exist.

We have been brought up to believe that for every good there is an opposite evil. This evil wants our soul; to drag us down to hell and torture us for eternity. We gave up the fear of the bogy-man under the bed for the equally terrifying, imaginary and unreal Satan and the grim-reaper. The error [belief in a lie and a false sense of things] of sickness, sin and death have kept men in unnecessary misery. This misery is caused by conditions people believe must be endured. Sickness is considered a test of their fortitude and faith. A belief that they will be rewarded later in heaven. How much better to know the Truth: sickness, pain, and accident have no part in God’s creation. To be hale and hardy makes you closer to God than to be sick and suffering.

God is Spirit. As God’s children we are the image and likeness of the One who created us. We are made by Spirit; we are made out of Spirit and we live in Spirit. We are not, never have been, material or matter: we are spiritual individuals living in a spiritually, perfect world. You doubt this?

Where is heaven” Where God is! Where is God? Everywhere! We are in the presence of God in heaven, wherever we are at all times. Remember that discords and inharmonies are apparent only to human eyes. “God is of purer eyes than to behold evil.” We only live on the mortal plane of consciousness where evil can happen in our Adam dream. Jesus lived to teach us how to live.

What is the difference between the Adam man and the Crist man? Adam is an error. Christ is the truth. Adam man believes in dual powers. Christ knows only God is perfect power and complete goodness and unconditional love. Which are you?

What was possible to Christ consciousness in Jesus’ time is possible to that same consciousness now. It is our right to use it.
