Question The Questions

We have so many false beliefs that we have learned from sincere individuals that are passing along the false information that they were taught. Do I have all the right answers? No! I do, however, have some right questions that might spark your curiosity, which in turn, lead you to wonder if there might be something wrong or missing about the answers that you take for granted.

You believe in God as Spirit?  That God created everything in heaven and earth? God’s kingdom is heaven where He rules and we hope to go when we die? We are human beings living in a hostile, material world. The earth is where we live and learn. Our lessons are to be good in spite of being tempted to sin by the devil. When the trouble, sin, misery or sickness becomes so severe that we can’t handle it any longer-usually we accept hardships as just a normal fact of life- then we pray. We get on our knees and beg and plead for God to intervene on our behalf and make things better.

If the above is somewhat the way you believe, then my questions are: Why do we get sick? Why do we confine God to heaven until we need His help? Where did Satan come from and where did he get so much power? Why should we have to remind God to be God?

You believe that God is Spirit? Then wouldn’t we be spiritual if we are the image and likeness of God? Wouldn’t it logically follow that the original would have to be sick before the image could copy the act of vomiting? What do you say to God when He sneezes? Silly question? Exactly! A sick, disabled, or in any way incapacitated God is a complete Oxymoron.

Which brings up the question is sickness, sin and death part of the good that God created in the beginning? If this is true, that they are part of God’s creation, what right do we have to even try to cure a gift from God? Taking the other side if God did create everything and sin, sickness and death are not His creations they are not now and never have existed. Why would you want to suffer from something that has no existence?

We agree that God is in heaven. Where is heaven? Where God is! Anyplace and everyplace is filled with God power and love. We live and move and have our being in God, the Bible tells us. Following this logic; if God is here with us on earth don’t we have a heaven here, now? That we are not aware that we have a heaven on earth does not change the fact that we do not die and go to heaven. Don’t we share God’s heaven where we are today?

Satan, the devil, the prince of darkness is a big question. There is no record of him in the spiritual creation. He showed up in the Eden allegory, no mention of how he got there, or what form he had before God cursed him to crawl on his belly. Was Satan self-made with the power to convince people to sin and produce sickness, evil and death in men? What did Jesus see when Satan tempted him? A snake; a man; a form; a being; a mist; a vision; or perhaps Satan was Jesus’ fearful thought about His coming ministry and the doubt that He could win men to God?  Jesus had five short words for evil. “Get thee behind me Satan.” Out of sight out of mind? Maybe the only reality and power Satan has is what we give him in our false, damaging and self-destroying belief in a power opposing and opposite of God? There is one God with all Power; Complete Power. Even if Satan were real-how could he compete with God? Why fear an illusion?

It is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom. Our Father’s generosity far exceeds our needs. Where did the idea that we must beg God to be good to us start? We are not thankful that God gives us the ingredients for our daily bread. We complain because we have to mix, kneed and bake the bread. Or we pray in an advisory capacity, telling God what needs to be done and how it should be done. Thank you, should be our only prayer. Accept what you are given with gratitude.

Last question. Do you actually believe that there are two opposing powers fighting constantly for control of our immortal soul? If you do, then you cannot believe that God is our Father-Mother-Creator who rules the universe with power and unconditional love for each and every one of His children. What you believe will determine the quality of your life.
