God Is In Heaven

A Story by Loretta Edwards

God Is In Heaven

“God is in His heaven and all is right with the world.” What does this mean? What is heaven and where? Is heaven a land, a country, a space high in the sky? The astronauts didn’t find heaven in space. Maybe they didn’t go high enough? Or maybe heaven means something else?

Heaven is where God is-Right? God fills all time and all space-Right? Then it is a fact that God is where you are and heaven is where God is. You are in heaven right now. Give this some thought for a minute.

You’re thinking, “I hope heaven is not like this. I’m in over my head in debt. My job is threating to leave the country, the kids are disrespectful and running wild, and my spouse wants a divorce. It can’t get any worse than this and you want me to believe this is heaven? Fat chance!

Believe it or not: God has not left us. We have turned our back on God. God is Spirit and man, in the image and likeness of God is also spirit. I don’t know when or how the lie started that we are sinful humans, subject to temptation, harassment, worry, trouble and attacks, from a power opposed to God. This lie is so deeply embedded in the race consciousness that most everyone sincerely and deeply believes there is a devil after your soul. Yet, I can find no one or no place to explain where Satan came from or how he amassed so much false power over humanity. Even to the point of challenging God: the only Reality and real Power.

We call ourselves Christians. We say that we believe in God as the only Creator and only Power. We claim we believe that God is Good and created only Good. But, in the back of our mind lurks the fear that something bad is waiting to pounce. Why? There is No Evil in God’s Creation! What do we have to fear?

When disaster strikes we either say, “It was God’s will.” Or pray, “Please, God save ne.” Neither are Christian thoughts. Why? Our Father-Mother-Creator-God did not create evil in any form. When you suffer from sickness, sin, misery of any kind you dishonor our creator: God. God does not interfere in human affairs. He gave us free-will to live as we please. I know you don’t like to hear this but it is true. Every problem in your life, you bring on yourself. Not through your sin; God didn’t create sin. It is because you are misinformed. There is no evil. I can’t state this too often. Our Father did not create anything to harm His children; so evil cannot exist. It isn’t real, evil in all forms is nothing but a figment of our imagination. An error of thought; a belief in a lie (Satan) or a false sense of God’s Reality.

Jesus healed everything by knowing the Truth. He brought the patients thought away from fear and up to knowing our Father’s unconditional Love for all. That is how Jesus healed instantly. The shadow of sickness dissolved when the light of truth shines on it.

God has His angels to obey; He wants His children to love him. Not a forced love. A love knowing God’s everlasting love and care for us. This is what Jesus meant when He said, “We live and move and have our being in God”

“If I make my bed in hell, thou art with me.” To me, this means, there is no place that God is not there ahead of us and will comfort us in our ignorance. Our Father will stay with us until we wake up to “The “Truth that will make us free,” as long as it takes. We must realize our Father can and will protect us from anything the world will throw against us.

Today it the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad n it. The kingdom of heaven is within.

This is how Jesus could promise, “What I do, you can do and more.” Jesus did not heal, He taught us to allow God to be God. The healing came when the patient changed his thought from fear to the perfection of God’s creation. A sick body is not the creation of our Father. The next time you feel a sickness coming on, know the only place it can exist is in your frightened thoughts. Refuse to accept it. You have that power. After all, you live in heaven with God.
