Think BackA Story by Loretta EdwardsThink Back Use your imagination to picture the world at the very start, when there was nothing but an empty void. Quiet, deserted, no sun, moon or stars, vacant, useless, God standing alone and lonely. Although, there were the angels, Cherubim, and Seraphim. They are His messengers, servants and companions. They obey flawlessly. They have to, that is the way they are programed. God wanted love; He wanted children which would love Him willingly. God is spirit, which fills all time and all space. He is not male or female, He is formless and all forms. When He created, He used the material, the substance available: spirit. God created a beautiful, perfect spiritual earth and heaven for His children. “And every plant of the field before it was in the earth and every herb of the field before it grew.” He thought about what He wanted and His thought flowed into the form He had envisioned. Every day he would inspect His work and pronounced it good. When the earth was ready, God said, ”Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” I think when God spoke of “us” and “our” He was including the angels, the Cherubim and Seraphim. Although they are servants, they are not slaves and God treats them with respect. There we were, adult spiritual beings Not Adam made of dirt. Not Eve made of a hunk of bone. Both adult sinners that were forced out of Eden. They are a material story, not related to the spiritual reality and a story that will have to wait for another day. Our Father-Mother-Creator-God wants a love that understands that He is the One and the Only Power. A love that is true and loyal and won’t turn from Him to false gods. A love that appreciates that the Father has given us the kingdom. Most of all a love that finds joy in the company of the Creator. That is the reason our Father gave us two great gifts all our own. He gave us Free-Will, so that we can make our own decisions. We can love God or not; our choice. If we do decide to love, it will be real and not forced. The second gift is a conscience, which prompts us to do the right thing. It also reminds us that God’s love is unconditional. While all of this creation was going on….Did you find any hint of evil? Was sin, sickness, troubles or death any part of God’s good? Can you conceive of the God whose good pleasure it was to give us the kingdom, sneaking in worry, trouble, problems and fear? As God is the only Power and Creator, He had to be the one to create these abominations? How can you claim to be a Christian and love our Father and in the next breath accuse Him of such wicked, repulsive, evil crimes? Then it is Satan who brought evil, temptation and death to our door step? Satan couldn’t have created himself. God is the only Creative Power. Do you want to place that blame on God’s shoulders? Of course God did not create these horrible things. God went to a lot of trouble to create us a peaceful, safe, happy earth. Would He create a monster and give it permission and the power to torment the children that He loves? Is mankind plagued by a sinister power that rivals omnipotent God? To God, the only reality is divine love, blessing and refreshing all creation equally. We do not live on the material plain of consciousness where evil can happen. Discords and inharmony are apparent only to the human sense. Satan was not created and does not exist. Spiritual sense sees through to-God’s Reality. God created only spiritual good. The next time you feel sickness coming on, let it pass; it does not come from God and you don’t need to suffer from what does not exist. Sin---in whatever form--sin, sickness, lack. problems, trouble, broken relationships, or anything else…are self-inflicted nonsense. 709 words Loretta Ellen Edwards © 2017 Loretta Edwards |
