Secular Humanism

Secular Humanism

Are you familiar with the term secular humanism? Probably you have heard of it from time to time, and like me, just haven’t paid much attention. Someone is always coming up with a weird idea or a new theory. Everyone has a right to their own opinion.

I think we need to investigate secular humanism. It is becoming the fastest growing, mind-changing, deceiving belief; opposing everything the Christian stands for. It attacks the church, Christianity and God, as insane, superstitious ignorance. And they are so subtle about it that we don’t even know that we are being insulted. It is not considered a religion, because they want to do away with all churches, all forms of religious belief in God. They aren’t a religion, yet they are as fanatic about their belief as any Christion. It claims that science has proven religion is nothing but foolish rituals, childish dependency, and ignorant faith. Want to know more?

It may have started with the separation of church and state. First prayers were taken out of the school. Then the Ten Commandments along with discipline. Years ago chewing gum got you a trip to the principal. Today kids sleep in class, sass the teacher (often cuss them) and walk out of class because they are bored. Grades are not important. What is important is that the pupil feels good about himself. He won’t need to know how to make change, the computer will tell him the right amount. But who will build the computer or fix it when it goes doesn’t work?

Darwin’s theory of evolution is no longer presented as theory. It is now taught as a scientific fact, although there is still a missing link and has never been proven. Children are led to believe that the earth was nothing more than a Big Bang, a lucky for us accident of nature. Man is an evolving animal, also all because he raised himself without help from any deity

I have no idea how or how long the cosmos was in the process of building. I am sure it didn’t just happen by accident. If it was a Big Bang…God said, “Let There Be!” and Bang there it was. The spiritual image and likeness of God; man; appeared the same way.

The college student is informed that sex, we being animals, is merely a biological function with no moral guilt. Society has adopted this attitude. This has led to couples living together, unwed mothers, unwanted babies, and fatherless children. Add abortion used as birth control.

Sex has always been a subject of interest and temptation. When you married it was for a lifetime. For better or worse, and sometimes that wasn’t right or healthy. Better than today when a mate changes partners as quickly and easily as a pair of shoes.

Life-death, good-evil, love-hate, everything is relative. There is no absolute. Truth does not exist. We create our own reality. The Bible is a myth and God has never existed.

The church has been lax on that point. Yes, to some degree we do live in our own reality. We are pretty much what we think. If we think we can’t-we can’t because we won’t even try. There is absolute truth that Jesus gave us: God’s Reality. Not what we deal with on earth.

World alliance. Complete world government. Open borders. Everyone free, respected and equal. No more white male oppressors. Women can choose what to do with their own bodies without guilt or censure.

Until we learn to govern ourselves there can’t be a workable world government. They want everyone to be equal and protected? A worthy thought. Include the millions of innocent aborted babies that have been thrown away.

Traditional religion is a disease that needs to be eradicated. Idiots believing in fairy-tales, hate mongers who condemn gays and lesbians to hell for being who they are. Moralizing to young people that sex should be between one man and one woman. Christians should be declared insane and confined to a mental institution for life.

I agree that religion has a lot of faults. The words of Jesus have been watered down, forgotten, and misinterpreted over many years. We need less preaching and more happy Christian living. Hate the sin but love the sinner. This would do more to silence humanism than all the words written against them.

Secular Humanism is not a religion, but we don’t want to be. We have brain-washed society to our way of thinking. While churches are closing their doors we are gaining followers. With subtle, carefully worded statements repeated over and over, we will rule the world, soon. Humanism assigns to man nothing less than the task of being his own savior and redeemer.

Secular means: not related to church or religion. Not sacred or religious; temporal; worldly. Not bound by morals. Now I am worried. What can we do as Christians? Let our conscience be our guide. Be aware. Realize that most people promoting these beliefs think they are as right as we do. Don’t fight them. It isn’t our job to judge. Let them see how happy you are with Christ. Love then as the brothers and sisters they are and they will want the love and happiness you have. They will be the ones to change.
