Create How?A Story by Loretta EdwardsCreated How? How did it all start? Over millions of years? Maybe one big BANG? After the world became livable, what then? We are here, but how did we get here? Of course the next question is why? Why are we here? Right now I am more curious about us. How did we become walking, talking, thinking human beings? I know that the schools teach the Darwinian Theory. I have several questions about this. The schools teach this as fact, when it is Darwin’s theory only. Theory-meaning his idea, opinion and thoughts on the subject, when it is Darwin’s theory only. It has never been proven completely. His theory leaves us wondering why the other primates didn’t follow our example. Why were we chosen to evolve and the other monkeys and animals left to stay the same? Makes me wonder. People who believe in aliens from other planets have several opinions on how we became what we are today. Aliens came to earth in spaceships to mine gold. Finding it too much work, they genetically engineered the apes into humanoids to be slaves to mine the gold for them. Another theory is, explorers landed on earth, found cave men and taught them speech, art, fire, how to build lasting stone temples, helped them become civilized, and then left. Or perhaps a spaceship crashed. The aliens were stranded. They made the best of the situation and mated with the more advanced females and the aliens passed their superior intelligence to future earthlings. Could be. When science discovered DNA, they traced it back to Africa, where they claim a woman there had DNA that matches and could be the mother of humanity. I haven’t heard if a father has been found. That doesn’t explain how people scattered all over earth, became many colors, and many races. Science also tells us we have “junk DNA” that hasn’t been identified yet. When it is classified they hope that it will give us more clues to who we are. Don’t you? Some theorize that life started in space and rode to earth in a meteorite. Others, that life started in primordial ooze or as alga that left the water, grew roots and produced bigger and better, but they are still plants. Maybe a fish grew legs and their spawn became the dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes? Where are they today? A few ascribe to the idea that we must endure being first mineral, vegetable, animal before we can become man; so we can better understand life. It hasn’t worked for me. I am completely befuddled. The Christian church, in America, teaches the Eden story, while other countries have their own religion, beliefs, and conclusions. There was a beautiful garden called Eden, prepared for Adam, and he was created full grown from the dirt there in the garden. When none of the animals met his fancy, God put Adam to sleep, took a rib from the male’s body and with it God formed a fully grown female, which Adam named Eve. And they lived happily ever after. Well for a short time at least. There was a tree that they were not allowed to touch. Although they had everything that they needed or wanted, that tree became an obsession to Eve. She had to know what knowledge that tree was hiding. {An alien theory suggests that the devil that convinced Eve to eat the fruit was an alien who wanted Adam and Eve to expand their life with excitement, intelligence and adventure outside the garden.} They were ejected from the garden and things went downhill fast. Their first born son killed his brother. Cain left home and found a wife, a human woman. I can’t believe, if Cain found a wife, that his parents were the first and only people on earth, nor can I understand, why, we are still being held accountable for their sin when later the earth was destroyed by flood and Noah’s family were the only humans left to repopulate the earth. I’m just asking. Lastly, we can’t ignore what the Bible tells us. Genesis chapter one starts out, “In the beginning,” and goes on to explain how the One and only God: the Creator first made the heavens and the earth. This unfolding of Spiritual ideas went on for six days. Each day higher forms of life appeared; minerals, plants, animals and each was named and blessed. God created a Spiritual world full of good things for man to use and enjoy. When all was ready; our Father-Mother-God created us in His Spiritual image and likeness to be His children and love Him as He loves us. (31) God saw everything He had made and it was Good and He was pleased. Now, if, all that was made was good; either evil, sin, sickness, and death are good or they don’t exist. The problem is…God gave us free-will and we have misunderstood and misused our gift to conjure up an evil that doesn’t exist and suffer from our imagination. We are what we believe. These are the most popular views held by Americans on how life began. I hope that you didn’t think that I was going to give you answers. I presume that you already know what you believe and are satisfied, 883 words Loretta Ellen Edwards © 2017 Loretta Edwards |
