Can Facts Be False?A Story by Loretta EdwardsCan Facts Be False? They say that the quickest way to start an argument is to talk politics or religion. So here goes. I am writing this in March 2017. Donald Trump has been my president for a short 60 some days. The accusations from both sides are destructive and depressing. The media claims that Trump is giving out Alternative facts as news, to make his administration look good. Trump shoots back that the media is spouting propaganda, lies and false news to deliberately destroy his presidency. I tend to agree with Trump. However, this is a human problem, and will conclude on earth at one time or another and we will be intact. With religious lies, we are dealing with God’s Laws which will affect us for eternity. Our minister, priest, or leaders are not intentionally misleading us with false information. They went to college where they were taught the misinformation they are passing on to us. They believe. If they question…it is put aside. They are confined to the tenets of their religion. Questions are not allowed. Isn’t it time that we think, for ourselves, outside the box? Here are just a few of the things that I seriously question. That God sent Jesus, as a human blood sacrifice, to die on the cross so that He could forgive our sins. I am comfortable with believing our Father sent our bother to teach us that sin, sickness and death are Not God’s creation. The only place they can exist is in men’s error (belief in a lie) thoughts. As for the idea that God needed a blood sacrifice? I know that the Old Testament has strict laws pertaining to the when and how a sacrifice must be conducted. Laws supposedly demanded by God. I have a definite problem with this. God’s Laws never change. If, our Father wanted blood sacrifices, why did He spare Isaac? Would Jesus have set the sacrificial animals, in the temple, free? What need would God have for human blood??? God created the human blood that flows in our veins and He could create an ocean more. That Adam and Eve, in Eden, is history. Adam, a hunk of dirt. Eve a bone taken from Adam. That we are still paying for their disobedience. Genesis 1:1 describes God creating a spiritual world. The plants and trees were created before they were placed in the ground. 1:26 Our Father-Mother-God created the male and female in His Spiritual image and likeness, not what you see in the mirror. From 1:1 to 2:5 there is definitely no indication of sin, sickness, death or anything to harm His beloved children. Especially when every day God pronounced His creation Good. Either sin, sickness and death are good or they are nonexistent. The same can be said for Satan. They are nothing but human error. Also I am not convinced that God would recreate a material world full of danger, terrors and evil. Both can’t be true. Jesus said, “I and my Father are one”. To many this means that Jesus was God in human form. Therefore Mary is the Mother of God. I take the words of Jesus to mean that God fills all time and all space; that we live in that space as a reflection of God. God Is! We exist only because God created us. God and I are One and God Is The One. We are related to God as divine idea to divine Mind. God, our Father-Mother-Creator holds us in His Mind as a perfect idea. That Satan is the archenemy of God. That the devil is out to force the Christian to sin. That Armageddon will be a battle between Satan’s henchmen and God’s angels for superiority; which God will eventually win. I cannot emphasize strongly enough that God is the One and Only Power in the cosmos for eternity. God does Not need to fight anyone or anything to preserve His authority. In God’s Reality Satan, evil, sin, sickness, death are unknown, uncreated, and nonexistent. Did Satan create himself? Create his own power? Then there would be duel powers. Either God fills all time and all space and there is no room for an opposite or God is not God. You be the judge. There is no doubt in my mind of God’s complete uncontested and complete rule. My belief may not be anything like yours. But it is important that you know what you believe and why. Do you believe only because others do? Or do you believe because you have thought it through? “Son, you are always with me and all that I have is yours.” That is a big promise that our Father will keep. 786 words Loretta Ellen Edwards © 2017 Loretta Edwards |
