Forget

            I have a favor to ask of you. I want you to forget everything that you have been taught, think and believe about God while you read my theory. If it does not strike a chord of truth in your mind, then go back to what you believe, whatever that is, and completely forget my suggestions.

            The word God is a seed-it needs to grow. Unfortunately, it has come to mean a lot of things, but nothing about what God is. I like to think of God as a “Higher Power” or “Infinite Invisible” I will use God in the highest reverence.

            In the first chapter of our Bible we are told, “God saw everything that he had made and it was very good.” Well, God never changes; so everything, regardless of what we think, is still what God created in the beginning: Good. How can that be when the world is headed for disaster?  

            God is Spirit. Spirit is hard to explain. When we say spirit we think of a ghost. No, think of the air that we breathe. We don’t see air, but we Know that it surrounds us. God is also invisible and surrounds us. God fills all time and all space in Spirit; and with Spirit. When God created; He formed a perfect picture in Infinite Mind, then He said, “Let there be” and thought flowed into the form of His thought. All of the universe is God’s thought pattern, in order, in harmony and spiritual for all eternity.

            You will notice that there is no creation of sin, sickness, death, or anything that could cause these evils. The foundation of mortal discord is a false sense of man’s origin. I blame Adam and Eve for that. They are accepted as fact when (in my opinion) the whole story is an allegory. Human sense defrauds us. All must be Mind or else all must be matter. Neither can produce the other. Mind: God, not matter, is the only creator. The plant, tree, flowers, were produced before being placed in the ground and man in God’s image: Spiritual. I can find no reason why He would recreate, in matter, what has already been done for His children and pronounced good.

            Which brings up another error. The image you see in the mirror is not the image and likeness of the Creator. Spirit has no body or gender. Jesus, when teaching people who worshiped idols and vindictive gods that they feared, called God: Father.  Not because God was masculine. It was to give the fearful something they could relate to and understand. Actually we have more reason to consider God as feminine; gentle, patient, understanding and loving. The men of Jesus’ day would have rejected the suggestion of the Motherhood of God. Women were inferior and men needed a strong, aggressive, and protective God. They were unable to comprehend a Father-Mother-God of all living things.

            We don’t look like God, we don’t think like God, we don’t act like God. When somebody does us wrong we can’t wait to retaliate, make them pay. When we sin we cringe wondering how and when God will punish us. God gave us free-will. With the gift came responsibility. We own our sins. We punish ourselves. While we sin we distance ourselves from God. God is not angry with us, disappointed, disgusted, ashamed or even aware of what you have done wrong. “God is of purer eyes than to behold evil.” God only knows what He has created: Good. Do not curse God for the punishment you inflect on yourself.

            I assume that you believe God is the only Creator and everything created was created by this One? That this One Good fills all time and all space? Then where is there any place for a devil; an opposite to oppose Almighty God? God is all or God is nothing. Both can’t live in the same space. Both can’t be true. Tell Satan what Jesus told him. Say, “Get thee behind me Satan.” Out of sight out of mind and bring this myth to an end.

            Last but not at all least, do you know, “The kingdom of God is within you.” Think what that means to you. If you can wrap your mind around this truth, without a flicker of doubt,…reject the illusion of your human hood�"you will be as healthy, as happy, as fearless, have the energy, at ninety nine as when you were a carefree sixteen years old. The Christ within will not allow your body or any of its parts to deteriorate or become diseased. Sickness, sin, and death are not in God’s vocabulary. Do you find it hard to believe that God can be both within our body and surround our body at the exact same time: God is our Life.
