ConceptionA Story by Loretta EdwardsConception The TV advertisement asks, “Are you pregnant or plan to become pregnant? If so do not take this medicine.” Then they went on to explain how dangerous the side effects are. The cure sounds worse than the condition that the medicine is supposed to cure. However, that is an issue to consider later. Are you planning on having a family? That is a Big decision. So much to think about. The expense comes first. The baby bed and equipment, clothes that they outgrow continuously, the doctor and hospital bills. The L-O-N-G nine months wait, of which that last month seems as long as the other eight. Then wondering when the little one will let you know, ready or not, they are ready to make an appearance. In the middle of the night, while you are visiting friends, shopping, or some other inconvenient time? Then you have to consider the time consumed in feeding, diaper changing, and later chasing an active, inquisitive, tot to keep him safe from accidents. A full time job for anyone. Now that I have warned you, I have to tell you that babies/children, planed or an unexpected surprise, are worth all of the inconvenience, pain, trouble and heartache they cause. I want to ask, “How did that miraculous baby get here?” I know the facts of life. I am asking what you did to form that body while it snuggled those nine uncomfortable months that it grew in your womb? How did you know when it was time to put fingernails on those fat, cubby fingers? Or toenails on those tiny toes on the wiggly feet that kicked so hard? What told you when to start the heartbeat and time to make the kidneys, spine, stomach, and lungs? What pattern did you follow to place the eyes, ears, nose and that sweet little bow mouth on the face in the right places? Hooking up all the blood vessels and arteries must have been a daunting task. As hard as all that was, I assume that it couldn’t compare with the intense, concentration it took to connect all of the nerves to the brain so the body will know how to react to pain. And how smart you were to know the exact time the little one was strong and ready to be a human being just like you. What? Are you telling me that you don’t know how to do any of those things? Then how did the baby become a living entity? When the doctor confirmed that you were pregnant, you probably thought, “We’ve done it. We are going to have a baby.” You took full credit for the blessed event. Did the doctor explain to you what “conception” means? Webster says, “To become pregnant: To receive; to form in the mind.” I understand that to mean that pregnancy is a spiritual rather than a physical happening. When the angel gave Mary the message that a conception had taken place, Mary knew the ‘facts of life.’ So, she had to ask, “How can this be?” Then she took the information and pondered it in her heart until she realized the Truth. All children belong to God. Our Father holds each one of us in His Mind as a perfect idea. A conception is the idea of a fetus growing in the womb. This is how Mary could have a virgin birth. Jesus is our brother in every way. God just eliminated one of the procedures. You admit that you don’t know how to make a baby. Maybe you can use the waiting time to conceive the Truth. The Allness, the Greatness, the Oneness and the Love of our Father-Mother-Creator. God created all Life in the Universe. As God’s children our heredity is complete health. Not the disease and disability our ancestors are supposed to have passed down to us. We are direct descendants of the One and only God; which knows no evil, and neither should we. Separate Truth; God’s Reality; from the truth as we humanly comprehend it, which is so distorted that we live in an unnecessary, delusional, deceptive, nightmare called human life. Know the Truth and the brain won’t feel pain that isn’t there. 703 words Loretta Ellen Edwards © 2015 Loretta Edwards |
