Who Or What Is God?

          Is God a gigantic, enormous body? He would have to be quite large to “Hold us in the palm of His hand.” Is He a being? “Which means something exists.” We can believe in God’s existence but since God doesn’t think like we do, maybe He doesn’t look like we do either.

          Can God be an entity?  “A thing that has definite, individual existence in reality or in the mind?” That brings up another question. Is God a reality? Or something we have heard about or read about or was taught about that we embellish and add details to in our mind according to our need?

          Is God a scientist? He created us, then went back to heaven to observe and study what we would do with our lives?

          If God is a creator? Did He create everything and everybody at the same time and then quit? Is it now up to humans to build, discover and uncover the things created but not yet revealed? And are humans left to produce babies by their own means? Or is God continuously creating new worlds and new beings?

          Is God a male or a female?  Jesus introduced God as a male: our Father. As our creator we may want to consider God as our Father and as our Mother as the One Creator?

          Then there is the resent theory that an extraterrestrial space ship landed on earth many long years ago. When the astronauts exited the ship in their uniforms the natives were convinced that they were gods from the stars. The theory doesn’t elaborate on whether the astronauts stayed and ruled or left quickly. Either way, the natives had new ideas about god and built temples and worshiped.

          These are some of the ‘who’ God may be. Now let’s explore the ‘what’ God is.

          Spirit? We are told that God is spirit. OK, what is spirit? Does it mean invisible? No one has seen God. Does it mean without a body-a mist-like a ghost? Maybe it means that God is without bounds or limits in time or space?

          Power?  Would you call God a Higher Power? Meaning the ability to do, act and produce. The power to destroy, if God were the type for that, or the enormous power to protect?

          Energy? Energetic, vigorous, forceful, action for good? Science has found a new type of energy in, what they thought was empty, space. Could this be a form of God?

          Mind? The intelligence that created the universe came from an extraordinary mind. Can that Mind have any concept of sin, disease, evil or death?

          Law? The laws of the universe were put in place by an authority with the ability to enforce them. All of God’s laws are beneficial to humanity. Man’s laws not so much. We sometimes get the two mixed up.

          Truth and Perfection? There is no lie in truth and no error in perfection. Do we see lies and errors that don’t exist?

          Life? Could there be life of any kind without God? In the future can a robot become a walking, talking, thinking, feeling replacement for man? Will babies be conceived in test tubes, developed in an artificial womb, and raised in the lab? Perhaps clones will fulfill our desire for children? All of these are forms of life…but it takes life to make the forms.

          Love? Humans don’t have the foggiest idea about love. We fall in and out of love in the blink of an eye. God’s love is unconditional and forever. An enormous difference.

          Reality? Is everything that we see real? How can we tell if it is real or a delusion brought about by the hypnotic race consciousness that believes in duel power? If it isn’t Good, how can it be real?

          There are more ideas and beliefs about the name and nature of God but this will give you something to think about and compare with what you believe.

          Do you want to know what I believe? God Is! God is All Good! Nothing else exists.
