untitled love (a prelude)

untitled love (a prelude)

A Poem by Ernie Roman

when we started dating.jan 2007

[Irony Wilson]

A mysterious love created from the sky

Has lifted and proclaimed our spirits miles higher than high

This love was planned and landscaped

Just the way it was meant

When we sit and chill and don’t do a thing

That’s precious time well spent.

[ernie]

With her hours seem like seconds,

It’s like damn where the

Time went- by too quickly, they say

I be too picky, but she embodies the perfection

Of mankind, the desire of man- kind-of

Like holdin hands on the beach on the sand

Soft and peace-full of love

Like God sent her from above

Lookin for that lil white dove telling me

This is the way to heaven

[Irony Wilson]

And heaven is where he takes me with every word

He recites to me to hear, if possible to taste it

He’d be the favorite flavor to my ear.

When our bodies touch, everything clings and fits

Something preordained in a 100% spiritual sense

Feeling you is feeling heaven, cause

Having love is having God, and having you

Is a part of the divine order that paves the steps of my life

Without you I am only half done, but joined we’re completed

Made into one.

[ernie]

And she gives me life like the sun

Physically it’s more than just havin fun

The sparks we create when we joined as one

Lights a new path, the unknown road

Like time froze, spiritually we float

Sheets get soaked with passion, a kinetic energy we fashion

Souls doing more than just passing

Time, flying, so high, no more goodbyes

Like Kelis said, baby I love you, just wanna make you mine

Believe that, she’s so divine

Love swinging like from the vines

Keep moving, never remain stagnant

Yes without you, I’m just a fragment

[Irony Wilson]

Something I’ve desired I have now and at last

No longer is it just tangible, nearly possible, or far from

My hands, your love is what I’ve been granted

It’s unreal, mystical, magical, and enchanted

[ernie]

A reality like this is what everyone always imagines

But rarely do we ever get to see this happen

Firsthand, this love I swear I won’t take for granted

Magically you landed in the palm of my hand

And I swear I’m gonna bigger this plan

Take my responsibility seriously like I know I can

Stand up like a man, admit my wrongs

Look you in the eye and still stay strong

And this is how I know we will last longer than long

So take this ring as a circle of truth, no lies

And baby, what I’m asking is, will you be my wife?

[Irony Wilson]

Tan, brown or white

Whatever color it is

Flaming hot red it turns with a slight touch of my lips

His dark black hair so perfectly trimmed to his face

His eye’s will me in and quicken my heart to a rapid pace

He’s so strong; he’s so gentle, so loving and so true

Living in this world without him is something I’ve done

But am incapable to do

He is my heart, my soul, my life

In a second I would accept him as my husband

As he has chosen ME to be his wife…

I love you.

I truly enjoyed this piece. I wish I could hear it spoken amongst the two of you. It has a melody that flows wonderfully together. You would think the two of you shared the same heart and mind while writing.

The words were very elegant, yet powerful. The emotion can't help but be felt. I've forgotten the strength of your pen. This is a fave for me.

Bless!
