A Little Slam PoetryA Poem by HosimoneRandom urge to write out a little frustration towards school. This is absurd In other words I’d enjoy watching it burn Everything we learn Isn’t something we yearn Teachers’ eyes all stern with fake concern Their mouths vomit facts Facts lacking interest Students end up on Pinterest Facts expected to be remembered For a contest To see who remembers best See who rises above the rest of the class And does not trespass On shortcut’s territory No It will be called cheating It will gnaw on you, eating Away your fleeting status I would enjoy watching it burn School in flames The place where social chains Start and grow, enabling pain I hope the rain doesn’t drain the flame That covers the place of hate where we wait And get irate at the too-full plate They expect us to finish at a too fast rate. © 2017 HosimoneReviews
