Shhh…

Be quiet

Be silent

Stay still

Quite still

You hear that?

No

Not that

Not silence

That

 

That ticking

Your watch

Each notch

Each tick

Each tock

A falling rock

 

Each second

I recon

That face

The pace

It goes

It flows

That pace

It’s a race

Of time

That

That time

That chime

It’s precious

Your time

Is precious.

This poem begs to be chased. Pace is fast which gives life to the lines "That chime/It’s precious/Your time/Is precious." Beautiful piece.
