Gem of Serenity

Gem of Serenity

A Poem by Jonathan Matthews
"

A poem about the moon.

"
Silent sentinel of endless night,
I thank you much for brief respite
From the troubles of the morn.

Bright purity of your silver light,
How I wish not to lose your sight
To the troubles of the morn.

Shocking orb of ethereal might,
Prithee to understand my plight
Of the troubles of the morn.

Ancient little star, assist my fight.
For pursues just behind your flight
Come the troubles of the morn.

very nice writng...so true that we have to take time from our troubles to appreciate what we have...count our blessings and our fingers...appreciate...before e have to face life again and have no time to do so...
