Chapter 17

A Chapter by Eidolon Michael

Daniel's not crazy...is he? But if he's not crazy, then who is the new kid? And why does he look EXACTLY like Michael?

Ever since Dunelia Castle had been blown up, everyone had been very stressed. It had been revealed on the news that the queen of Dunelia-Queen Shayla- had been caugt in the explosion and was currently in the hospital, barely alive and possibly in a coma.

It was in this country wide crisis that one question had been asked constantly-who will rule the kingdom next? It was widely believed that it would be a close friend to the queen. It was also believed that it would be a person not even from Arisen, which would be a first in history.

Nonetheless, in all of this, MIchale and the others continued on with life, almost oblivious to the grave situation they were in.

It was ona Friday when Daniel experienced one of the strangest moments in his life. He had just gotten to his fourth period class at school and sat down when he noticed someone new sitting in front of him.

"Ralph!"Daniel exclaimed happily, hugging the boy. The boy looked at Daniel, keeping his face turned towards the book he was reading, a slight frown on his face.

"Do I know you?"the boy asked. Daniel released him and looked at the boy strangely.

"Don't-don't you remember me?"Daniel asked. The boy looked like MIchael and the others...and it couldn't be Roran because they didn't have this class together. It wasn't Michael or Dante, so it had to be Ralph. He was sure of that...unless...

"What's your name?"Daniel asked and the boy looked at him from the corner of his eyes.

"Jonathan,"the boy said, almost emotionlessly.

Daniel sat down in his desk slowly, watching Jonathan.

"Sorry,"he muttered. Jonathan nodded and continued reading.

This was very peculiar. How was there another person like Daniel, Roran, and Dante? Was he another side of Michael? Or perhaps a coincedential misunderstanding? No, it wasn't that. What could it be?

"Where are you from?"Daniel whispered to Jonathan, receiving a shush from his fellow classmates around him. Jonathan didn't answer.

"Um..."

"Pennsylvania."

"Really?"

No answer.

Daniel sighed. If this was another side of Michael, it was a very quiet one. He had to try and figure this out.

And while he was at it, he would try and figure out where the hell "Pennsylvania" was and why he had never heard of it.

"Michael?"Daniel said, knocking on Michael's bedroom door. It was three-thirty and he had just gotten home to ask Michael about Jonathan.

"What is it?"Michael asked as he opened the door.

"Do you have a twin?"Daniel asked.

"No...why?"Michael asked.

Daniel quickly told Michael about his encounter with Jonathan and found out that Michael ws just as confused as Daniel was.

"It's possible he was created by accident,"Michael said thoughtfully.

"I suppose,"Daniel sighed."Well, I'm off to bed."

"Okay,"Michael said,"Tell me if you see him again, okay?"

Daniel nodded.

"Wait!"

"What?"

"Why are you going to bed at four in the afternoon?"

"A nap..."Daniel yawned."School was exhausting...stupid Algebra two..."

Michael turned to close his door when he heard "What's Pennsylvania?"

He turned around and looked at Daniel in confusion.

"I have no idea,"he said."I think you really should go take a nap."

"Yeah,"Daniel said and he walked away.

Michael chuckled and closed his bedroom door.
