"I" want to hug your mother!! ....writing, "I want your smile" is such a unique and powerful statement in showing the very start of how impressed and loved you are by her. What a cool freakin' thing to say in a poem. My dad loved to hug, and my step-dad was game.... my mom didn't really like touching me, my step-mom NEVER did, until her daughter "my sister" died. Then it was different. It took her disconnection to Earth without her daughter being here, to give me notice that felt "normal". You wrote a very sweet poem/tribute to your mom, Penelope!!
