The Drowning DressA Poem by Edwinajust what it saysPink and purdy so very flirty the dress I had to own I paid a mint to have it shipped by late night telephone It came on friday in time to die day for life had lost its thrill I walked the road out to the bridge and summoned up my will My undies were clean my debts were lean as I hovered on the rail I crossed my arms then crossed my legs this time I wouldn't fail the moon was out I didn't shout as I hit the water swift the wind had become an invisible bum to give my skirt a lift I could not see in front of me nor to the sides at all My legs were froze as were my toes and I did regret the fall The water tore that dress I wore And in time I was quite nude a trout came by to have a snack and made my face his food C J.
