Pond Doss Kick Toad
A Poem by Edwina
just plain weird
Pond Doss Kick Toad | Toss my heart In a deep shaft mine Just to see what you might find Hang your hat on a wooden peg Let the Scratch dog Hump your leg
Hear the bag pipes plaintive wail Sad to see your love song fail I climb right out From my recent drop I see no reason Now to stop
The faeries hung In an old oak tree They stared and waved But I did not see
My soul now shredded By what they did To them farewell I now do bid
The galloping thoughts Inside my head Make me wish That you were dead
Like clothing wrung In the wash of time I now distain Your bunged up mind

Your style is unique in these latter days, but always in style are your country ways.
I like your poetic voice, dear poet.
