You helped me growA Poem by kick your buttercupBetrayle can mold ones without realizing
I said we could be friends only to recieve no reply. You then tell me you miss me, But only for my lips Not for me. You spoke words of love, and passion with deceit; Never second guessing if my memories of those moments would turn loathsome. In my time of need you were nowhere to be seen, Calling for my lips but not ready to catch my tears. Manipulating my fragile heart Only to be caught hiding with other women. You thought words of honey could hide me from your vinegar personality. You thought your lies could cloud my judgment. You thought your empty words could fill a void in me. You thought you would never get caught. You thought you destroyed me, but you helped me grow. I learned every rose has a thorn. I learned to trust my gut. I learned self love could carry me more places than yours ever could. I learned the truth hurts but is liberating. I learned destruction can have growth. © 2018 kick your buttercupAuthor's Note
