I Can't Feel

I Can't Feel

A Poem by Emily Cannon
"

I honestly don't know why I wrote this. But I really hope you enjoy it.

"
Sometimes I just can't
I can go on a long and awful rant,
But personally I just can't,

I can't feel the way you do,
I can't just say "I love you."
Without trying to hurt myself,

Inside out,
I can wonder about,
Hoping one day God will take me away,
From all the terrible pain,
Like really what is there to gain,

Hopelessness,
Loneliness,
Awfulness,

Feelings,
They suck,
Dealing,
I can't,

I can't feel,
So why,
Why do I care,
You know the question should be,
Why can't I feel.

This is the most powerful poem I've ever read in my life. I absolutely loved the imagery that you used. I could really see and feel what was going on in this poem. This was absolutely amazing :) Congrats and keep up the great work. Can't wait to read what you have next :)

Your Absolutely Welcome Emily :)
The last verse says it all really...I can't feel,
So why,
Why do I care,
You know the question should be,
Why can't I feel.
Everyone is different, unique, but I can relate to this because at times I think I am incapable of caring, yet at others I am deeply affected by the most mundane. Sometimes there is an emotional block and sometimes there is an emotional flood, with no rhyme or reason as to what one will appear next.
Beautifully written. Thank you for sharing.
