Picture of the world,

Bright as it is,

Never could have imagined

Things would turn out like this;

 

Serenity, take over me

Make things clearer,

Give me clarity;

Burdened are my eyes and

Clouded are my thoughts,

Peace of mind, is this what I need?

Wilted trees & fallen leaves,

Not one passerby chooses to see

The lifeless entity of natural beauty,

The circle of life that is controlled

By you and me;

 

Picture of the world,

Bright as it is,

Responsibility unyielding,

Allow me to face the reality

That is slowly evoking

A positive response to the world I see;

This could be such a beautiful song, though it is sour in honesty. Reminded me of this little poem I wrote

Pinching the innermost corners of my eyes to wipe away the crust my slumber left behind
I readied myself to depart for the day
Heading, quicker than the future, for the back door
Switched off every light on my way
But left my music play
For silence to enjoy
I feel, more than anyone else
The world needs a day to herself
