Running to the sun

Running to the sun

A Poem by Keith.

The winds upon our face
As we run towards the sun,
Our laughter trails behind
Like a singing ribbon blown
On the green and dancing sea,
While the distant liquid sound
Of a skylark left the ground
On his journey
To the heavens
Where his song was meant to be,
And we sent our souls
To greet him
From the green and dancing sea
Where we soared
In snow white lace
With the wind upon our face,
As we ran towards the sun
Where our journey had begun

The ferns between our toes
In the quiet whispered glade,
With their fragile velvet touch
Shared softly scented secrets
Like two lovers hand in hand,
And the smile you gave to me
Was so limitless and free
In a vision
We were taken
To a perfect wonderland,
Through a silent
Forest clearing
To the green and dancing sea
Where we looked
Up to the sky
And we saw the skylark fly,
In that moment we were one
As we ran towards the sun

Lovely words beautifully penned.

As we run towards the sun,
Our laughter trails behind
Like a singing ribbon blown

From the green and dancing sea
Where we soared
In snow white lace
With the wind upon our face,
As we ran towards the sun
Where our journey had begun

Been awhile since I visited your page
thought I would take a look around.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful poem.

Blessings. Benita
