What's in a name?

What's in a name?

A Poem by Keith.

He will walk along beside you on the golden sanded bay
And he’ll greet you every morning with the tender breeze of day,
He will calm the fears within you and caress your very heart
And he’ll kiss you on the forehead as the dreams of evening start.

He is painted many colours on the tapestries of truth
Like the green of birth remembered, or the fiery red of youth,
But the smiles that paint the pictures soon remember only pain
For soon the cries of little children paint the darkest shades again.

As his pages open softly in the early morning sun
In the room within each Temple where the tapestries are spun,
All his words go flowing gently to where people wait to hear
Of a country without conflict, or a nation without fear.

The names he bears are many, and they cast their shadows wide
They all insist that they are right, and throw the rest aside,
But shadow always vanish as the sun shines from above
And names are immaterial, his only one is love…
