amazing grace -- rengo

amazing grace -- how sweet
the sound -- though I'm not a wretch,
and I don't feel saved:
what is saving? from this earth
I treasure, from this life not
yet measured?  I save
minutes, hours and moments,
hide in the attic
of my mind and then count them
greedily -- thus grace is mine.

like Ann Frank hiding with others in an attic, thoughts hide in the attic of our mind until they feel safe coming out...

A amazing poem. Amazing grace, one of my favorite songs. I liked the ending. You left something for the reader to think about. Thank you Annie for sharing the excellent poetry.
