expire

expire

neglect shoots them through with rot.

faith I put in them

is as fleeting as the lives

of dragonflies and snowflakes.

really like the last two lines....fleeting they can be.
i am reminded somewhat of langston hughes' "dream deferred" and what happens when we do put off dreams...
not pretty...
