much to loveA Poem by annie leeThe sun slides a little further south every evening, and I reflect upon my life and the lives of others.
the sun begins its subtle slide away from summer. the days grow shorter, flowers less brazen, weeds even weaken. there is much to love about the end of summer: school starts, the tourists scatter, the days get warmer and the nights get cooler. would that we could be safe and happy in our little spheres, our plots of land, our apartment square footage. would we could shut out the noise made by the world going nuts. there is much to love about the end of summer and much to love about peace.
