sunday in october

A Poem by annie lee
"

The Monterey Bay area enjoys its warmest, balmiest weather in September and October, and the Peninsula flaunts its beauty. (rengo)

"

dozens of silvered

misty streams arc in star points

over sandy fields

of spiky artichoke crowns,

myriad globes thrust up on

stalks like small green fists.

an october sunday morn

that shines with promise:

the blue sky shouts as waves froth

white lace to the curve of beach.

A perfect picture painted with your amazing words. I recently visited the mountains of Scotland, and could not find words to describe the beauty of the natural world I witnessed there, but it seems I do not need to, you have done us all an honour.
I feel like a blade of grass in your shadow great oak!

You are welcome...:)
A fantastic piece in honour of natural beauty. The muses are whispering in my ear that there are some haikus hiding here. I wonder.

I should have a picture since I've seen it so often. But I don't, so I'll have to fix that.
