embers

embers

A Poem by annie lee
"

rengo

"

more than the warmth that

goes with shared laughter, more than

unlasting friendships

and hollow gatherings of

lonely, bewildered people

who came for one thing

but bought what they did not want

and left too early

more than mimosa melting

molten now: promises more
