who's got my shoe?A Poem by annie leeI have a lot of vignettes I blogged while I was working up in Silicon Valley or while I was a slave to the DoD. Reworking 'em.
You ever notice all the shoes along the roads? I do. Makes me think: somewhere, are there a number of slightly chagrined people standing in lines at Safeway or Target trying to hide one unshod foot? Or hopping out to use the restroom at the Chevron station and upon fetching the key, having to explain the bare foot? Or a lady walking that funny UP-DOWN way ladies walk with only one high-heel? Does someone just throw the shoe themselves out the window or some fiend snatch the shoe off their foot and toss it out the moon roof? It’s one of those mysteries of life that may not have a satisfactory explanation. You got one? © 2013 annie leeAuthor's Note
