blindness

blindness

A Poem by annie lee
"

splintered apart, we are blind to our origins.

"

while we squabble and fuss,

while we hurl epithets and curses

at one another,

while we each claim our God to be supreme,

and whitewash our sins against one another,

I imagine He’s somewhere

sighing with resignation,

and he longs to tell everyone

“I am the One who fits all.”

Or he could be laughing at himself thinking perhaps he should have never given us 'free will'...much food for thought in this short verse.

You're very welcome, I tend to find irony in most of life's situations. Much enjoyed.
