"It's Just A Blip!"

"It's Just A Blip!"

A Poem by Ron
"

Quadruple Heart Bypass Supported by Pacemaker!

"

The doctor said it's "Just a blip!"

My leg veins out, 'cut and snip.'

Relaid to pass my heart, then "Clip!"

There, into place, fresh blood to ship.

Through valves and into ventricles,

Flowing without obstacles.

Yes, I'm feeling ill but "it's just a blip!"

(Please keep me in life's membership!

I have deeds to do and wrongs to fix.

Before this human form I quit.)

Great rhyme and great tribute. Plus it catches the emotions making you smile, laugh and get just that twinge of waiting for the future.
Spot on mate.

surgery, no matter how much the doctors try to dumb it down, or make it look like nothing, is always scary. this seems to show the nervouseness she must have been feeling. and you characterized it as if you were sitting there jokeing with her :) :) good write my freind, very nice rhyme, very popish

Great tribute, I've know people who has had bypass surgery and can relate to your poem!

Ah yes, tributes...that Prich aint no flatliner. Cunning use of blipping rhyme.
Poem entire is held together by a central couplet flowing with blood. This is DNA
or the poetry of DNA. This is red and white corpuscular convalesence. This is quite frankly about getting better. Just like the author. His rubber gloves stained with the plasma of poetry. Viva! Viva! Viva!

I hope it went that easily for her and that the results will be very long-lasting. I've had bypass surgery twice and can tell you that it does work. (I miss that vein in my leg, though.)
