Timmy retreated to his room and began scribbling in his notebook. He was eight years old, and wanted to be a writer like his dad. When he finished, he stuffed the pages into an envelop and gave it to his father. Larry Yardley, on a lark, mailed the pages to a publisher. A month later, father and son sat in the same room, Timmy scribbling best-sellers on paper and Larry staring dejectedly at the computer screen. "Keep tryin', Dad. You're gonna sell something pretty soon!"
