trust yet lonlyness

trust yet lonlyness

A Poem by Empty Spaces

why hide in the meadow of sorrow. why live in the valley of yesterday? try tomorrow, it might be happier then yesterday. you have no joy you say? well i don't have much, but here's some to borrow. be my savoir. i wont turn on you. ill be loyal, i promise, you have my word. i wont get tired of you. i wont get bored, for you are surly a gift from the lord. but sadly your love is something i can't afford. i'll drown in the lake of fear. i'll just make myself hear that, that i am worth more than this. i am not for this life. i'm modest, i'm civil, i'm stern. but this pain is a feeling that is to much of a burn. i have to stand firm, and listen to what iv'e heard. "be calm like a bird, but fierce as a herd." but a herd is a union. i am a single man. so i weep as i stand alone. and understand i'm the only one, in this fast land.
